Roscommon Rd crash: One taken to hospital, road blocked with police at scene

Motorists are being asked to avoid a section of a major South Auckland road after a two-vehicle crash blocked lanes.

The northbound lanes of Roscommon Rd in Manurewa have been blocked after a crash reported to police about 1.45pm.

Police said initial indications suggested two people suffered moderate injuries.

A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said: “Three patients were assessed at the scene, with one of those transported to Middlemore Hospital in a moderate condition”.

Two other patients in a minor condition were treated at the scene.

Police encouraged motorists to avoid the area, take alternate routes, or expect delays while towing is arranged and the scene is cleared.

Images seen by the Herald appear to show the incident happened near the Browns Rd intersection by the Z service station.
