A person has been arrested after a search warrant was executed at a property in Auckland’s Mt Albert.

Police told the Herald a pre-planned search warrant was executed at a property on Woodward Rd in the early hours of yesterday morning.

One person was arrested in relation to undisclosed items found at the address.

A police spokesperson said the Armed Offenders Squad and Clandestine Laboratory Response staff were present as a precaution.

A Herald photographer at the scene said a number of police vehicles, a fire engine and a St John ambulance unit were parked on nearby Mark Rd, as armed police closed Woodward Rd while additional police staff made entry to the complex."

Inquiries are continuing as part of an ongoing investigation.
