'Infrastructure issues': CRL tunnel reopens, some trains still cancelled, delayed
Trains in Auckland have been cancelled or delayed this morning after the City Rail Link tunnel was temporarily closed.
The closure early this morning meant trains were not stopping at some stations, including Karanga-a-Hape and Te Waihorotiu.
Auckland Transport (AT) says the “infrastructure issues” affecting the network have since been resolved and all train lines are returning to their normal route.
“Expect some delays and cancellations while trains return to schedule,” AT’s website says.
Passengers are still being advised to check the live departures board or digital screens at stations before boarding.
Buses are also accepting train tickets, AT said.
The East West, South City and Onehunga West lines were all affected by the closure.
