Two injured after scooter hits pedestrian at Auckland intersection
Two people have been injured after a pedestrian was hit by a scooter at a busy central Auckland intersection near Victoria Park.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a scooter and a pedestrian at the corner of Victoria St West and Wellesley St West at 1.20pm.
Police confirmed two people received minor to moderate injuries.
Hato Hone St John sent one ambulance and treated two patients. One was sent to Auckland City Hospital in a moderate condition.
A man was seen lying on the road on the corner of Victoria St West.
Several emergency service vehicles are at the scene, and traffic is being diverted.
Inquiries into the incident continue.
