'Out of character': Family worried for missing Christchurch woman
Christchurch police are asking for the public’s help in the search for a woman who failed to return from her daily morning walk.
Stacey left her Redgrave St home in Hoon Hay yesterday between 8am and 9am, but family and friends became concerned when they didn’t hear from her and couldn’t find her.
“Her walks are typically no longer than two hours,” police said.
Stacey’s family said this behaviour is “out of character” for her and are concerned for her welfare.
Police issued the following message to Stacey this afternoon: “If you see this message, please contact your family or Police to let somebody know you are safe. Your family is extremely worried about you and wants to know that you are okay.”
Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen Stacey in the Redgrave St or wider Hoon Hay area yesterday, or has had contact with her since yesterday morning.
Anyone who has seen Stacey, knows where she is, or has CCTV, dashcam footage was asked to get in touch.
Any information could be reported to the 105 non-emergency line.
Callers were asked to reference file number 260915/7708.
Those wishing to provide information anonymously could do so via the Crime Stoppers line on 0800 555 111.
