A man has been arrested after a dramatic gang shootout at a property in Huntly.
The incident happened in West Huntly on Thursday when a group of men approached a property about 7pm, armed with firearms.
There was a verbal altercation between the group and the occupants of the house, Detective Senior Sergeant Scott McKenzie said.
Someone inside the house then fired a gun towards the group, with that group returning fire into the building, he said.
No injuries were reported.

Police continue to investigate and are seeking sightings of a silver FG Ford Falcon XR6 with the registration QCD523.
