87-year-old Hokitika woman dies after being struck by car
An 87-year-old woman has been named as the person who died after being struck by a car on the West Coast last month.
Mary Schimanski, of Hokitika, died after the crash on the corner of Fitzherbert St and Park St shortly before 9am on August 14.
Police said their thoughts are with Schimanski’s loved ones at this time.
Inquiries to determine the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
