One critically injured as car torn apart in serious Auckland crash
A person is critically injured in hospital after a car slammed into parked vehicles in east Aucklandovernight.
The car crashed into several parked cars on Howick’s Ridge Rd just after 1am, a police spokesperson said.
“The driver was transported to hospital in a critical condition.”
A Fire and Emergency spokesman said a person was trapped under a vehicle and the brigade used rescue equipment to free them.
”They were placed in the care of ambulance and the scene was left with police.”
At least three cars can be seen damaged in photos taken from the scene.
The serious crash unit is investigating.
