Police release images of man in hunt for key witness after multiple city assaults
Canterbury police have released images of a person they want to speak with as they investigate several indecent assaults across Christchurch city.
Police say assaults happened in the Wigram and Hagley Park areas over the past few months.
The first indecent assault was reported to police in October and November 2025.
The most recent was reported at the end of May 2026.
Police believe the man pictured may be able to assist with inquiries.
Today, police released pictures of a person with dark hair, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.
Police said they believe the person may be able to help with inquiries into the incidents.
Police have been approached for further comment regarding the alleged assaults.
The reported assaults happened in the Wigram and Hagley Park areas over the past few months.
Anyone with information is advised to contact police using 105, referencing file number 260526/3183.
