Auckland house shot at in botched break-in bid, investigation launched
An Auckland home has been shot at after a failed break-in attempt last night.
Police investigations are underway to find the person responsible for allegedly attempting to gain entry and then shooting at the front of the house, before bolting.
Detective Senior Sergeant Rebecca Kirk said the offender allegedly discharged a firearm at the property around 8.45pm.
“The offender arrived at the Point England Rd address and unsuccessfully attempted to gain entry.
“The offender has then discharged a firearm into the front of the dwelling before fleeing on foot.”
Kirk said thankfully no one at the property was injured and inquiries were ongoing to identify and find the person responsible.
