One seriously injured, SH6 blocked after Southland crash
One person has been seriously injured in a crash that has blocked State Highway 6 in Southland.
Emergency services responded to the serious crash on State Highway 6 between Lumsden and Dipton shortly after 1pm.
Police said one person is reported to have serious injuries.
Hato Hone St John said they were notified of the crash at 1.06pm, responding with an ambulance, operations manager, First Response Unit and PRIME responder.
They referred to police for further information.
The road will remain closed while the Serious Crash Unit carries out a scene examination, police said.
Diversions are in place, with motorists advised to allow extra travel time.
