SH30 closed: Serious injuries after crash near Te Teko
One person has been seriously injured in a crash that has closed State Highway 30 near Te Teko.
A police spokesman said the single-vehicle crash near Galatea Rd was reported about 11.40am.
The driver appeared to be seriously injured and the road was blocked, the spokesman said.
NZ Transport Agency said SH30 was closed with detours in place.
A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said one person was taken to Whakatāne Hospital in a serious condition.
Fire and Emergency NZ has been approached for comment.
