Two seriously injured, man rescued from wrecked car after West Auckland crash
Two people have been seriously injured after a crash in West Auckland last night in which a man was rescued from a wrecked car.
It is understood that a bus was also involved in the collision.
Northern fire communications told the Herald they were called to the corner of Don Buck Rd and Rush Creek Drive, near Westgate, at 9.18pm.
A spokesman said two vehicles were involved and a person was trapped in one of the cars. He said firefighters worked to get that person out of the vehicle.

Two fire trucks and an operational support unit attended the scene.
Hato Hone St John said they responded with three ambulances, a rapid response unit and a manager to the scene.
Two people were taken to Auckland City hospital in a serious condition.
Residents in the area came out of their homes to watch as emergency crews extracted a man from one vehicle. Debris and shattered glass were littered everywhere.

Authorities closed off part of Don Buck Rd as a result of the crash.
Police said they responded to reports of a crash on Don Buck Road at around 9:20pm.
“We can confirm that there are injuries.”
