Woman, 42, charged over meth supply into Marlborough
A woman has been charged with supplying methamphetamine after an investigation in Marlborough.
On August 4, police from the Tasman and Christchurch organised crime units searched a property in Sydenham, Christchurch.
A 42-year-old woman was arrested in relation to supplying methamphetamine into Marlborough.
Police said officers also seized stolen property.
Detective Sergeant Lisa Brent, Tasman district organised unit, said the arrest was “a great result for the community”.
“Methamphetamine causes a huge amount of social harm and has no place in our community,” Brent said.
“I am really pleased that we were able to disrupt some of the supply into the Marlborough area and hold this alleged offender to account.
“Police continue to work hard to disrupt the supply of methamphetamine and other illicit substances.
“I would like to thank all those involved in the investigation – this was the result of great teamwork across districts, and I believe the Christchurch community will benefit from this arrest just as much as the Marlborough community.”
The woman is in custody, due to reappear in Christchurch District Court on August 26.
Police urged community members to report drug offending, or other criminal offending, with as much information as possible.
