Woolworths is recalling cereal that could have blue plastic in it.

The supermarket’s own brand Multi Grain 500g cereal with the best before date of April 30, 2027, is being recalled “due to the potential presence of foreign matter (blue plastic)”, Woolworths New Zealand said.

“Any customer who has bought these products should not eat them, and is asked to return the product to their nearest store for a full refund.”

There had been no reports of illness or injury, Woolworths said.

“However, anyone who has consumed any of these products and has any concerns about their health, should seek medical advice.

“Woolworths takes food safety very seriously and we apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused by this recall.”
