Three people injured in crash, Southern Motorway lane blocked

Three people have been injured in a crash on Auckland’s Southern Motorway.

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) says the left lane southbound near the Hill Rd off-ramp is blocked following the incident.

“Pass with care and expect delays”.

Hato Hone St John said one person sustained serious injuries while two others are in a moderate condition.

The person with serious injuries has been taken to hospital.

Emergency services were notified about 7.15am.

Images show a wrecked car half over the barrier with smoke rising from it.

Police said they received reports a vehicle had crashed into the left-hand barrier, just after the off-ramp.
