YouTube users are being met with a blank screen with thousands of reported outages for the website and app.
Down detector has seen over 5000 reports of YouTube problems starting at about 1.54pm.
The website and app will load, but users will only see a blank screen on the website homepage, while the app appears with a message that read “Something went wrong.”
Error messages are appearing on the mobile app.
YouTube Shorts also appear to be unavailable on the app, but users can still watch videos by searching for them.

Google has been contacted for comment.
