Labour’s poll slump deepens as National claws back ground
The Labour Party has slumped in another poll, falling to 31% in the latest Anacta poll for corporate clients.
This is down four points from the last published version of the poll taken between August 1-11.
The Herald confirmed the figures, but has not obtained Anacta’s seat calculation. The figures obtained by the Herald would put the left bloc ahead of the right if Opportunity went with Labour.
National was on 30%, up one point, the Greens were on 12%, up four points.
NZ First was on 10%, down three points. Act was on 8%, up one and Opportunity was on 7% – up 5.2%.
Anacta was known as Talbot Mills until its recent rebranding. The firm also does Labour’s internal polling.
After a strong start this year, Labour has slumped across several polls in recent weeks after National’s attack accusing the party of shepherding in several more taxes than the one Labour is campaigning on.
