'So close': Barry Soper analyses last poll before election

The last poll has been released before voting ends on the 2026 Election.

The Post/Freshwater poll has the Labour Party at 30.7%, a 4-point lead over National who are on 24.8%. 

The poll also places Opportunity Party at 5.1%, which gets them just above the threshold to enter parliament. 

Senior Political Correspondent Barry Soper told Heather du Plessis-Allan "It's the minor parties that will determine who actually takes the Treasury bench."
