Richie Mo'unga is being parachuted into the All Blacks on their South African Greatest Rivalry Tour.
The 32-year Canterbury first-five will replace injured midfielder Billy Proctor, flying to Johannesburg today.
Former All Black Todd Blackadder has voiced support for this decision - and says it will please everybody, especially Richie Mo'unga.
"It's a great call for Richie, and there's been a lot of people beating the drums about him being over there and having to do his mandatory two games for Canterbury...but Rens has obviously had a good talk to the board and they've come around."
