Wellington social media star Petrie Apostolakis (known online as Kosmos) is on a quest to find the best mince and cheese pie in the country.

He's eaten one pie a day for almost two months and he's determined to experience all New Zealand has to offer in terms of pies.

He joined the Afternoons team to explain what makes the perfect pie - and why we need to leave the tomato sauce to the Australians.
