PM: Public will be "encouraged" by pre-election fiscal update

The Prime Minister says people will be encouraged, by what comes out of tomorrow afternoon's 's Pre-Election Economic and Fiscal Update from Treasury.

It will outline the medium-term fiscal outlook.

It will also give the general public, and non-government parties like Labour, an idea of the state of the Government's books heading into the election.

Chris Luxon told Mike Hosking things are in a good place.

He says it shouldn't be a surprise to people that the economy has been growing since May, despite the global fuel crisis.
