"Could've done it better": NZ Cricket apologises for lack of clarity around NZ20 call
New Zealand Cricket president Mark Greatbatch admits the governing body has been caught out.
That's after initially shouldering arms to calls from the likes of Sir Richard Hadlee for some form of evidence to justify the choice of NZ20 as a short-form pathway for the future of the domestic game.
Board chair Diana Puketapu-Lyndon has apologised for a lack of clarity about why independent reports on the process were not presented to key stakeholders.
Greatbatch told Mike Hosking it's important they listen to those involved in the game as to what its future should be, and they probably could've done and explained it better.
He says they're not always going to get thigs right, but there's some good people working for the game.
