"Fingers crossed": New Zealand could receive first first Michelin stars tonight

A small chance Michelin inspectors may not dish up any stars at all tonight.
Tourism New Zealand's coughed up $6.3 million to bring the world-class restaurant ranking to this country, with a ceremony taking place in Auckland this evening.
Secret judges have been roaming restaurants across Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Queenstown for more than a year.
Tourism NZ CEO Rene de Monchy told Mike Hosking he'd be disappointed if no stars were handed out, but judging is completely independent.
He says there's no guarantee, but they seemed impressed with the country's food offering.
