The first All Blacks squad for 2026 was named yesterday and there are so many talking points to consider.
Fehi Fineanganofo has been named in the squad for the Nations Championship even though he has already signed a contract with Newcastle Red Bulls in England for next year, once the move is made, he is ineligible for the All Blacks.
However, Richie Mo'unga, who has committed to NZR through to the end of the World Cup cycle, is being forced to stay behind and compete in the NPC before being available for selection in the end of year tour - missing the first Nations Championship window and the monster tour of South Africa.
