'A real leap forward': Federated Farmers' spokesman gives Labour rare praise
Labour’s new climate policy committing to not campaign on taxing agricultural emissions and undertaking an urgent review of the Emissions Trading Scheme has been warmly welcomed by Federated Farmers and Beef + Lamb New Zealand.
Climate Change Spokesperson and National Meat and Wool Chair for Federated Farmers Richard Dawkins told Jamie Mackay he was happy with the announcement.
"So look, the whole announcement was really well received and I can't understate the significance of this. For 25 years they've been campaigning on pricing agricultural emissions, so this is a real leap forward and full credit to the team."
