Person critically hurt in Auckland crash, warning to commuters about major delays
Motorists are being warned of major delays on Panmure’s Lagoon Drive after a crash which has critically injured one person.
Lagoon Drive is partially closed after the 7.20am crash, which involved one vehicle, police said.
“One westbound lane remains open and diversions are in place for all eastbound traffic. One person is in critical condition, and emergency services remain on the scene.
“Heavy delays are expected and motorists are advised to seek an alternative route.”
The crash has disrupted public transport in the area, Auckland Transport said in an alert to bus users.
It said routes 70, 72X, 72C and 72M were affected.
“Single-decker buses moving towards the city will detour via Church St and Queens Rd. Single-decker buses moving away from the city will detour via Queens Rd and Church St.”
