Man dies at Auckland bus stop in unexplained circumstances
The death of a man at a New Lynn Bus Station bus stop is unexplained, police say.
Emergency services were called after a man was found unresponsive on Totara Ave in the West Auckland suburb about 10.15pm last night, a police spokesperson said.
“CPR was conducted, however, the man died at the scene. Inquiries continue into the circumstances of the unexplained death.”
Hato Hone St John was called at 10.26pm and sent an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle, a spokesperson said.
They referred the Herald to police for more information.

An Auckland Transport spokesperson confirmed a person died at a bus stop at New Lynn Bus Station last night.
“There was no impact on bus services.”
Bus passenger Dylan Samson told the Herald he saw a heavy police presence at the station after getting off his bus about 11.30pm.
“[The area] was taped off, and [there was a] police tent up.”
