Logs strewn across highway after truck overturns in Kaukapakapa

A logging truck has overturned in Kaukapakapa, leaving logs strewn across the road and causing traffic delays.

Police were called to Kaipara Coast Highway, near South Avenue, at 12.55pm.

No injuries have been reported, but the southbound lane is blocked and traffic management is in place.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson said a crew was not required when it arrived.

In videos shared with the Herald, logs can be seen strewn along the roadside near All Saints Church, at the corner of Kaipara Coast Highway and Peak Rd.

Traffic has built up heading south, and motorists have been advised to expect heavy traffic and delays while police work to clear the scene.
