Man, 21, arrested after courier van stolen in Napier
Police cordoned off a suburban Napier street to track down the second courier van to be stolen in Hawke’s Bay in two weeks.
Police were called about 11.35am on Monday after a courier van was stolen in Tamatea.
A police spokeswoman said cordons were set up on Lancaster St to find a “person of interest”. A 21-year-old man was arrested.
She said the courier van had been recovered, but it was unclear whether any delivery items were missing.
On July 15, a Post Haste courier driver was robbed in the morning of their van and its contents in Hastings.
Police recovered the van that afternoon.
