It's been revealed country music icon Dolly Parton had a brief battle with cancer, before dying today aged 80.
Fans have laid flowers and letters outside her Tennessee home - and on her Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
Her many hits include 'Nine to Five' and 'Jolene' - and during her six-decade career, her song-repertoire climbed over 3,000.
US correspondent Dan Mitchinson says Dolly was giving updates on social media prior to her death, but they never seemed serious.
