'Not the right time' for Wellington City Council job cuts - PSA

The Public Service Association says it will be discouraging Wellington City Council's from cutting roles, as it proposes a major restructure.
Our newsroom understands up to 50 staff could be impacted from the council’s climate change response, planning, communications, property and events teams.
PSA Assistant Secretary Tom Buckley told Ryan Bridge Wellington's been through a lot in recent years, and this isn't the right time to cut jobs.
He says it also comes ahead of the Government's proposal to amalgamate councils, which is already creating uncertainty within the Council's workforce.
