Bahrain Grand Prix: NZ Herald's Alex Powell recaps Lawson race
Liam Lawson continues to build his case to stay in Formula One beyond the 2026 season.
A seventh-place finish at a chaotic and weather-affected race in Malaysia has moved him 24 points clear in the battle for ninth - and best outside the top four teams - in the championship.
Lawson notably made pole sitter, eventual race-winner and four-time world champ Max Verstappen work hard for position during an opening lap exchange.
Alex Powell is the Formula 1 writer for the NZ Herald, he joined D'Arcy to discuss.
