In March 2023, Sir Sam Neill joined Newstalk ZB's Francesca Rudkin on the Sunday Session after battling an aggressive blood cancer and returning to work in an adaptation of Australian Author Liane Moriarty's latest book.
The Kiwi actor died in Sydney today aged 78 in Sydney.
During his health scare the actor wrote a memoir titled "Did I Ever Tell You This."
Neill told Newstalk ZB in 2023 he was forced to write things down quickly as he wasn't sure how long he'd live.
He says it started off purely as a personal project.
"I thought I'd cheer myself up with remembering things, trying to make sense of my life as much as anything. And if it cheered me up, it might cheer a few others up at the same time."
