WNBA Import Van Lith seeks to 'build a new identity' in NZ basketball league

After a challenging start to her promising WNBA career, including persistent injuries, American point guard Hailey Van Lith is hoping for a career and life reset during her time in New Zealand’s Tauihi League.
Van Lith, who had a standout College basketball career in the United States, was signed as a first round draft pick by Chicago in 2025, before a shift to Connecticut this year.
She joined Adam Cooper ahead of her first appearance for the Tokomanwa Queens, against Mainland in Porirua on Sunday.
