Upper Hutt Mayor signals likely exit from Wellington Amalgamation proposals

Plans for a Wellington Super City have suffered a major setback, with Upper Hutt Mayor Peri Zee indicating her city is unlikely to join.
Local government leaders in the region have been working on an amalgamation proposal to meet the Government's August deadline.
Zee signalled her position to the mayoral forum in confidence at a meeting on Thursday, saying she's not convinced the benefits are likely to outweigh the costs.
Zee joined Nick Mills on Wellington Mornings to discuss where things sit for her.
