Firearms incident leaves man in serious condition
A man has been taken to hospital after a firearms incident in Christchurch this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Marshland Rd in Shirley about 3pm.
Hato Hone St John said one patient was taken to Christchurch Public Hospital in a serious condition.
Police said they were making inquiries and did not believe there was any threat to public safety.
