Canterbury University students have built a robot that could smash both the human and robotic world records for solving a Rubik’s Cube.

Four engineering students spent about a year developing the robot that can solve a 4x4 Rubik’s Cube in under 10 seconds.

They’re now awaiting confirmation from Guinness World Records.

Student Maz Cameron told Mike Hosking it took a full year of hard work, so it was really exciting to have it culminate in that record attempt with so many people there to support it.
