Watch: Noah Kahan skydives in Auckland, calls it his ‘new favourite city’
Singer-songwriter Noah Kahan has called Auckland his “new favourite city” and says he doesn’t want to leave after performing two shows in Tāmaki Makaurau.
Before his show at Spark Arena on Saturday, the Stick Season singer headed west to Parakai where he took on the highest skydive in New Zealand.
Kahan said the skydive was “like a dream where you don’t die”.

Noah Kahan had a bluebird day as he took on the highest skydive in New Zealand in Parakai.
“That was the sickest thing I have ever done by far,” he said after landing.
“Worth every f***ing cent, baby. That was f***ing sick, like f***ing crazy, like a dream where you don’t die.”

Noah Kahan called the skydive 'the sickest thing' he's ever done.
The singer performed in Auckland that evening and told the crowd about his experience of jumping out of a plane at nearly 5500m, with up to 75 seconds of freefall at about 200km/h, followed by a parachute flight with views over Auckland’s east and west coasts.
The singer took to social media this morning to tell his 4.6 million fans on Instagram about his time in his “new favourite city”.
“I sky dived then played two shows in my new favorite city. Gonna miss you guys I don’t want to leave,” Kahan posted, alongside a carousel of images of his concerts in Auckland, including photos of him playing while wearing an All Blacks jersey.
Kahan donned the rugby jersey to show his support for New Zealand at his first show at Spark Arena on Friday night before the team’s Bledisloe Cup clash with the Wallabies on Saturday.
Auckland was the place to be on Saturday night, with the All Blacks playing (and beating) the Wallabies at Eden Park at the same time Kahan performed his second Spark Arena show.
The All Blacks showed their appreciation for his backing of the men in black in a social media post.
“Welcome to the All Black family brother 🖤,” they wrote, prompting a flurry of comments from fans.
Kahan is a Vermont-based folk singer-songwriter and Grammy nominee who shot to international stardom in the past few years, particularly following the global success of his third album, Stick Season, released in 2022.
Kahan is currently on his The Great Divide tour, to promote his latest album, of the same name.
